Kachina Point Receives Golden Plate Award

Kachina Point Health Care and Rehabilitation Center is one of only 103 food service establishments in Yavapai County to be awarded the Golden Plate Award. This is the second year Kachina Point has received this recognition. Only 42 establishments received this recognition two years in a row.

This award recognizes safe food handling practices based on established requirements determined by Yavapai County Health Services. The inspection always occurs without warning. With food borne illness being a national concern, these requirements are imperative to the health and safety of the residents and staff of Kachina Point.

Kachina Point is fortunate to have a Certified Dietary Manager for the food service operation. This department services both residents and staff. This means preparing over 350 meals per day!

To celebrate, the Dietary staff all received a "Golden" shirt which they all wear proudly. Kachina Point will received this award at a Board of Supervisors meeting in Cottonwood on March 19.
